Sleep science

08:45 - 09:30

This workshop will cover the basic scientific principles behind how sleep translates to operational performance. Subtopics will include how the biology of the sleep-wake cycle is used to predict performance in SAFTE-FAST, tips on how to improve sleep quality and alertness, and the impact of sleep on other domains of well-being, such as immune function or mental health.

  • Presented by: Dr. Jaime Devine, IBR

Workload: Determining the impact Workload has on fatigue

09:30 - 10:15

This workshop will look at how to create operational workload rules in SAFTE-FAST from data collected through the NASA Task Load Index (TLX) and other internal sources. The workshop will also cover how to view and interpret workload metrics during proactive modeling, and in the Insights module as part of predictive modeling.

  • Presented by: Robert Mora, IBR

Insights: Predictive Modeling

10:15 - 11:00

This workshop will focus on using Insights as part of predictive modeling. Users will come away with an understanding of how to set up custom hazard classes applicable for their type of operation and how to interpret the information in each hazard class.

  • Presented by: Dr. Steve Hursh, IBR

Reporting: Data-driven decision making

11:00 - 11:45

This workshop will focus on the different types of reports available in SAFTE-FAST from exports for use in BI systems to creating custom report libraries and dashboards to help with data comparison and proactive modeling.

  • Presented by: Ben Brown, IBR

Markers: How to incorporate markers into SAFTE-FAST

11:45 - 12:30

This workshop will cover the different ways that markers can be utilized in SAFTE-FAST, from converting crewing codes on data import, creating auto-markers, and using markers reactively.

  • Presented by: Murray McGrath, IBR
